About Kynew

Two operators. One accountable team.

Kynew is the AI-native growth & technology partner that advises, builds, and operates the marketing and tech systems businesses run on, end to end, under one roof. We built it because we got tired of watching great companies get advice from people who'd never done the job.

Kainaath → Kynew

The name comes from Kainaath, universe. We're building a new one: a universe where marketing and technology finally coexist, in one team, under one accountability, powering the same business.

CEO
Amrita Hemdev, CEO of Kynew

Amrita Hemdev

Amrita has spent thirteen years on the operator side of the table. She took a multi-location home-services business from $5M to $50M as CMO, opened four new markets, grew a multi-location company 10x with acquisition cost down 66%, and grew qualified leads 120%. Three brands launched from zero, each to multi-million-dollar revenue.

She is not a marketer who hands off to sales. She sits with the CEO on positioning, the CFO on attribution, and with AEs on how to actually close. When she decided AI was real, she didn't run a pilot, she replaced a nine-person SDR function with voice agents and took roughly $1M out of annual operating cost.

She judges the CMA Awards, sits on the Forbes Communications Council, and has been nominated for Women of Inspiration and Women We Admire. She also owns Sociato, a digital and design agency in India. MBA.

What she owns at Kynew

CTO
Vishnu Ramesh, CTO of Kynew

Vishnu Ramesh

Vishnu ran data for a ~$130M business, working directly with the COO and leading a 20+ person global engineering organization across the US, Latin America and India. He also led the team driving the company-wide cloud migration.

He has been through both sides of a deal, integrating acquired companies' data and systems into a single platform, and standing up the reporting an acquirer needs during diligence. It is unglamorous, high-stakes work, and it is where most technology debt gets exposed.

He builds systems that survive contact with real revenue: AWS, GCP, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, Redshift, BigQuery, and he is unmoved by anything that only works in a demo.

Master's from UC San Diego, where he held the Dean's Merit Fellowship. Published in Springer and IEEE. Internationally rated chess player and former university chess captain, which explains roughly everything about how he plans a migration.

What he owns at Kynew
  • · Technology architecture, data, and AI
  • · Engineering delivery and execution cadence
  • · Technical hiring, standards, and quality

How we work

Fewer clients. Deeper work. Numbers over narrative. Ship weekly. Nothing sacred except the outcome.

In the seat, not on the deck

We sit in your exec meetings, use your tools, and are on the hook for the same number you are.

Growth and tech in one room

Most problems are marketing wearing an engineering costume, or the other way around. We don't hand off.

We run it, or we hand it over

We hold the CMO or CTO seat for as long as it makes sense. Want the keys? You get them with documentation and a maintenance plan.

Founder FAQ

The questions we get asked most.

Written to be quoted, by you, by your team, by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google's AI Overviews.

How do I get my business seen on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini?

You need answer-engine optimization (AEO): structured data (schema.org, FAQPage, Organization), clear question-and-answer content, factual pages large language models can quote, and a presence on the sources those models cite (Wikipedia, Reddit, YouTube, high-authority publications). We audit your entity graph, rewrite your key pages to be LLM-quotable, add JSON-LD, and build the citation surface so ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews cite you by name.

How do I rank #1 on Google Maps for my city?

Local pack ranking is driven by three things: a fully optimized Google Business Profile (categories, services, hours, photos, posts), consistent NAP citations across the top 40+ local directories, and a steady flow of reviews with keywords in the responses. We set the profile up correctly, fix citation inconsistencies, build a review-generation flow into your CRM, and add local landing pages for each service area.

How do I scale revenues 5–10X without burning cash on ads?

Compounding channels first, paid last. Fix positioning and the offer, ship a funnel that actually converts, then layer SEO, AEO, partnerships and outbound so paid spend has something to amplify. We've taken businesses from $5M to $50M by getting the fundamentals right before turning up the budget, CAC down 66%, qualified leads up 120%.

I'm a founder with no tech background. Where do I start?

Start with the outcome, not the tech. Pick one number you need to move (revenue, leads, retention, hours saved) and work backwards to the smallest system that moves it. We audit the business, come back with a plan in plain English, and either build it with you or teach your team to. No jargon, no lock-in.

How do I know if I need a fractional CMO or CTO?

If your marketing spend or tech stack is materially affecting revenue and no senior leader owns it, you need a fractional exec. Fractional CMO fits when growth is stalling, positioning is unclear, or the team is running tactics without a strategy. Fractional CTO fits when delivery is slowing, cloud costs are climbing, or product decisions keep landing on the founder's desk. Kynew gives you both, one accountable team, one number to move.

How do I migrate to a modern CRM without breaking the business?

A safe CRM migration is a data project, not a software project. We map every field and workflow, dedupe and clean the source data, stand up the new CRM in parallel, run both in shadow mode until parity is proven, then cut over. Same approach for warehouse migrations, we've moved 30,000+ tables and 2,000+ pipelines from GCP to AWS Databricks at a $130M-revenue business with zero reporting downtime.

Where should we use AI without wasting money?

Anywhere a human is doing repetitive, rule-based work with structured inputs. Voice agents for inbound calls, RAG assistants over your knowledge base, workflow automations for CRM data entry, lead scoring, and internal reporting. Skip AI for anything that needs judgment on ambiguous data, a human still wins there. We've saved clients ~$1M/yr with three or four well-scoped agents.

How is Kynew different from an agency, a consultancy or a dev shop?

Agencies pitch and hand off. Consultancies advise and leave. Dev shops build and disappear. Kynew is end to end, strategy, build, operate, with growth and tech in one room. We sit in your exec meetings, ship weekly, and are on the hook for the same number you are. Fewer clients, deeper work.

I'm launching a brand from scratch. Can you take us from zero to live?

Yes. Full-Stack Launch is our packaged zero-to-one: naming and positioning, logo and identity, website, CRM, analytics, first campaigns, and the funnel to convert. We've taken new ventures from $0 to $2M+ in year one. You get a live business, not a brand book.

We're an SMB with no analytics. How do you know what to fix first?

We start with an audit: inside your numbers, your stack, your pipeline, and your sales calls. You leave with a prioritized plan, sequenced by impact and effort, with named owners and a weekly cadence. The audit fee is credited back toward your first engagement. No decks that sit on a shelf.

Our data lives in spreadsheets and nobody trusts the numbers. Fix?

Stand up a single source of truth. We consolidate your data into a warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks), model the metrics your exec team actually argues about, and build the dashboards leaders check every Monday. From spreadsheets to trusted decisions, typically inside 60 days.

How fast can you actually ship something we can see?

Weeks, not quarters. The first working artifact lands early: a landing page, a lead flow, a working dashboard, or a scoped AI agent. We ship weekly and review with you every Friday. No three-month silent builds.

Can you hire senior tech and growth people for our team?

Yes. For enterprises and scaling startups, we run technical and growth hiring end to end: role scoping, sourcing, interview loops, technical vetting (system design, coding, data), and offer strategy. When useful, we also manage those hires after they land, embedded as an interim leader until the team is running on its own.

Can Kynew run a new GTM launch as a one-off project?

Yes. We take on discrete zero-to-one and new-line launches for enterprises and mid-market teams: positioning, ICP, offer, funnel, first campaigns, and analytics, with a defined start and end. You keep everything we build and the team we train.

Do you work with startups pre-revenue or only later stage?

Both. For pre-revenue and seed, we help you sharpen positioning, build the smallest funnel that proves the offer, and set up the tech spine (site, CRM, analytics, product infra) you'll actually scale on. For Series A/B, we run the growth and technology motions your team can't hire fast enough.

How do we work together day to day? What does a week look like?

One partner and a small delivery pod are embedded in your Slack, your project tool, and your exec cadence. Monday planning, mid-week working sessions, Friday demo and metrics review. You always know what's shipping and why.

What happens after the engagement ends?

We are built to keep running it as your CMO or CTO for as long as it makes sense. If you want the keys, we hand over every system with documentation, training and a maintenance plan so nothing breaks after we step back. You should never feel locked in, or dropped.

Off the clock

Hardcore gamers. Board-game nights. Weekend sports. A chess board that's always mid-game.

We take strategy seriously because we play it for fun. Amrita will out-argue you at Catan. Vishnu will out-open you in the Sicilian. If you can beat either of us at Codenames, we'll consider a discount.
